Experimental Fiction Is:

Writing the end at the beginning, in the middle, or blasted through the story like shrapnel.
Presenting a fairy tale in the format of a psychological thriller.
Doing away with beginnings, middles and ends altogether.
Surreal.
Finding the unexpected humour in the macabre.
Challenging.
Telling the tales you want to tell in the format you want to tell them, irrelevant of what convention dictates.

Experimental Fiction Is Not:

An excuse to be lazy with spelling, grammar and punctuation.
A parasol that protects bad writing from criticism.
